Yahoo! Web Rank

The old Microsoft search and Yahoo! both have toolbars. These feature the usual pop-up blockers. Yahoo! recently beta'd their own ranking figure called Web Rank although this is not currently available. The Yahoo! figure is based on inbound-links. Although Yahoo! doesn't use Google's patented PageRank technology inbound-links and anchor text are part of their search engine rankings.

Microsoft are also planning to release a beta of their desktop search before 2005. This will integrate Web with search for documents on the user's computer.
