Manon Lamy

I've no idea who this charming young woman is, apart from the fact that she was elected Duchesse of the Faucigny at Bonneville in April 2008. Apparently she was selected for her “grace and beauty” to represent 1500 musicians in the area.

The area may take its name from Roman landowners, the Falcinius, who had estates in the Arve valley. The Barony of the Fauciny dates from around the 11th century. As for the modern day Duchesses? Well I can't tell you very much I'm afraid but Manon certainly looks the part.
